Here at GOEL VISION, we hope you and your family are doing well, staying safe, and managing as best you can during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our primary focus is SAFETY for patients and staff when in the office. To that end, we have made many changes to our office which are highlighted below.

We are happy to report that as of MAY 11th, 2020, our office is open for vision care – including consultations, follow ups, yearly eye exams, and surgery.

For your comfort and convenience, we also offer Telehealth appointments to allow remote videoconferencing from the comfort of your home. These include follow-ups, emergency appointments as well as new patient consultations for refractive surgery.

With these new policies and consultation options, patients will now be able to minimize the number of office visits, while still accessing the finest in vision correction care.

New Screening & Examination Procedures (as recommended by CDC and DOH):

• Pre-screening for COVID-19 before appointments
• No-contact temperature checks at appointment
• Social distancing waiting room
• Limited appointments per hour
• Masks for staff and patients
• Breath shields for exam lane equipment
• Sterile system wipe downs of rooms and equipment after each use
• HEPA filtration in our common spaces

When will Goel Vision reopen?
On May 11th, 2020, Goel Vision will reopen and as always will be following the strictest, medical-grade safety standards in the industry.

Am I allowed to bring family or friends with me to my appointment?
In order to maintain safe and social distancing, only patients will be allowed inside our offices. Patient’s family and friends should wait comfortably in their cars, except when absolutely necessary, such is in the case of patients who require assistance.

What if I am having questions related to my laser eye surgery?
Please call 410-709-6723 and one of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist.

Should I wear a face mask to my procedure?
Currently, the State of Maryland has mandated that face masks be worn by all citizens in all public places. So for your safety and the safety of our other patients and medical staff, we ask that you please bring your own face mask before entering our center.

What if I’m not feeling well or have cold/flu-like symptoms?
Please call your primary care physician immediately. We ask that you reschedule your appointment with us for another time when you are a feeling better. Please call 410-709-6723 to reschedule.
