Staar Surgical’s EVO VISIAN ICLs (Implantable Collamer Lenses) are tiny, flexible lenses that are 100% biocompatible and provide UV protection. They are implanted between the iris and the lens of the eye to correct your vision and are only visible under a microscope. ICLs are excellent for patients under age 40 with nearsightedness between -3.00 to -15.00 diopters, and up to 4 diopters of astigmatism. For patients with a higher prescription, we can do a combined procedure of ICL and Lasik/PRK to achieve the best results.
ICL (Implantable Collamer Lenses)
BENEFITS
Gives those suffering with myopia the chance to significantly improve their vision with minimal risk and discomfort. ICLs are often a good choice for patients who have irregularly shaped corneas, very thin corneas, extremely dry eyes, or other eye conditions.
RESULTS:
Following the ICL procedure, you will likely have vastly improved vision between 20/40 and 20/20. Implantable contact lenses offer many of the same benefits as LASIK, but are often a suitable option for extremely nearsighted patients, or those who are not good candidates for laser eye surgery.
